“Aliante” project – an annual international contest that was initiated in 2000 with the assistance of “Jahello 2000” Association in Czech Republic. The “Aliante” contest has won a great popularity and gained international recognition. Nowadays the contest is lead through in 14 countries: Czech Republic, Poland, Slovak Republic, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Hungary, Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, United States of America, Ukraine and Georgia.
“Aliante – Ukraine” is a specific version of an international Aliante contest that was drafted in Ukraine for the first time in 2004.
Project “Aliante – Ukraine” – is the All-Ukrainian contest headlined: “Are you well-informed on the questions of international security and NATO activities?” for secondary school pupils and students at the first year of study in the university.
Project “Aliante” is a long lasting project which consists of two knowledge-based rounds. The best from them proceed to the international final where their physical and mental strength will be tested. What is expected out of project?
The first round is based on giving answers on 40 questions upon the North Atlantic Treaty, NATO, security issues and international relations.
Second round is based on testing participants’ physical and mental strength.
Moreover its winners can expect prizes and to military units of the Allied countries that are located in Poland, Czech Republic, Germany and other countries. Furthermore all participants extend their knowledge in the competition areas, which is also a real prize.
Taking into consideration the all Ukrainian character of the contest, representatives from all regions of Ukraine are invited to take their share in this unique international competition.
