On the occasion of publication the very first issue of NATO – UKRAINE Partnership Network newsletter, we would gladly greet all the colleagues and partners, representatives of network member – organizations. A newsletter was established aiming to improve a direct conversation among the participants, NGO’s of NATO – Ukraine Partnership Network as well as NATO member – states, to inform Ukrainian citizens concerning various aspects of NATO – Ukraine cooperation, spreading information as for the preferences and perspectives of NATO – Ukraine partnership systematically.
NATO – UKRAINE Partnership Network under the aegis of NATO – Ukraine Joint Working Group on Defence Reform is a weighty constituent of a phased and systematic democratic civil monitoring at the activities of defence sector, instrument of gaining indispensable measures of a democratic civic society.

General meeting of Ukraine – NATO Commission of a high level in the context of Intensified dialogue in Kyiv.
16th of June, 2008 a Commission Ukraine – NATO of a high level in the context of Intensified dialogue on questions of membership and required reforms in Ukraine was held in Kyiv. NATO ambassadors were greeted by a Minister of Foreign Affairs in Ukraine – Volodymyr Ohryzko and Defence Minister in Ukraine – Yuriy Yekhanurov.
This meeting was a part of a two day informational visit of North Atlantic Council to Ukraine.
North Atlantic Council had also a meeting with Ukrainian President V. Uzhenko and members of a National Defence and Security Council of Ukraine.

Aliante 2008 – Ukraine
“Aliante” project – an annual international contest that was initiated in 2000 with the assistance of “Jahello 2000” Association in Czech Republic. Nowadays the contest is lead through in 14 countries.
“Aliante 2008 – Ukraine” is a specific version of an international Aliante contest 2008 that was drafted in Ukraine for the first time in 2004.
Project “Aliante 2008 - Ukraine” – is the 5th jubilee All-Ukrainian contest headlined: “Are you well-informed on the questions of international security and NATO activities?” for secondary school pupils and students at the first year of study in the university.
Society and Army – the grounds of mutual trust and strengthening of a civic society.
All interested were invited to take part at free of charge courses in Poland that was a part of “Society and Army – the grounds of mutual trust and strengthening of a civic society” project organized by the Institute of Strategic Sciences.
Project was aimed at democratization of state administration activities in the sphere of defence through making the standards of cooperation among the members of state administration as well as progress of Ukrainian civil society.
